This annual fishing tournament series is held from March
thru October on Charlotte Harbor, The Flatsmasters pits
the very best anglers from around the state in a head
to head series of tournaments ranging from Trout, Redfish
& Snook on artificials, a pair of redfish on all
baits, to a snook and a red on all baits. By changing
each tournament's format, The Flatsmasters requires
each team to be well versed in all facets of backcountry
fishing.
Each individual tournament leg is filmed and produced
into it’s own one hour Flatsmasters TV Show to
be aired on SunSports Network. One hundred 3-angler
teams compete in each of the three legs gathering prize
money and valuable points along the way. After the three
events, the top 40 points leaders are invited to compete
in the prestigious Maverick Boats Flatsmasters Championship.
The Flatsmasters Championship is a two day event with
the top 5 teams from day one competing in the final
day each with a Sunsports TV camera on board. The team
with the best weight of a snook and redfish on the final
day deserves the title of Maverick Boats Flatsmasters
Grand Champions!
Flatsmasters Angler's Club
The Flatsmasters Anglers Club is an organization of
tournament anglers, friends, and spectators of The Flatsmasters
Tournament Series held each year on Charlotte Harbor
from February through October.
The Anglers Club promotes conservation and tournament
ethics to it members and to the general public. All
participants in the Tournament Series are required to
be members of The Flatsmasters Anglers Club.
As we continue to grow our club members will benefit
from the additional exposure and Sponsorships. We welcome
any and all feedback on any of our Events or Programs
and want to thank each and every one of you for your
support and participation.
