annual fishing tournament.
When: August 4 – 5, 2006
Cost: $275 per boat with three anglers per team, and with an optional $100 for an extra angler on the boat. Also, $5 per child for the Kids Fishing Tournament.

At the Cape Coral Yacht Club on 5819 Driftwood Parkway. The redfish tournament is open to amateurs and experienced anglers.
The tournament kicks off with a mandatory Captain's Meeting and dinner on Friday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tournament starts on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. with cash prizes totaling $10,000 and awards after the tourney. A special highlight of the day will be Kids Fishing Tournament for ages 4 to 15 from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on the Yacht Club Pier. Registration begins at 8:30 and participants must provide their own equipment. Cost is $5 per child and bait is included. Registration is on a first come first serve basis and boat registration will be limited.
